Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 7 dates
- 3tbsp nut butter (eg peanut or almond)
- 1tbsp melted coconut oil
- 5tbsp water
- 1tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1 pair of chopsticks for every two apples
- Vegan chocolate with no added sugar
- Crushed nuts, such as cashews, peanuts, almonds (optional)
- Dried edible flowers
Method
- Wash the apples and insert a chopstick into the core of each one.
- Ask a grown-up to help you with this step. Place the dates, nut butter, coconut oil, water and maple syrup in a blender. Whizz the ingredients together. The consistency should be tick enough to spread – if it’s too thick, add a little water.
- Using a spoon, smear the date mixture over each apple.
- Place the apples on a plate lined with baking paper, and decorate with your desired toppings.
- Put your decorated apples in the fridge for about one hour to set.
- Enjoy!
